Lively Liberals

Carbon County Lively Liberals kicked off in May 2023.

We were aware of a group called Drinking Liberally, a political and social organization where self-identified liberals and progressives gather in bars to socialize and talk politics, founded in May 2003 by Justin Krebs and Matt O'Neill at Rudy's Bar and Grill in the Hell's Kitchen neighborhood of New York City.  It has many chapters in most nearly each state in the U.S., and internationally as well.

To de-emphasize drinking and, alternatively, for social and community emphasis, we modified the group to be the Carbon County Lively Liberals.

We meet nearly every week between April – October and conclude the year supporting a November Thanksgiving and December Holiday gathering at various locations around Carbon County.  Join us to discover a friendly environment and a place for progressive networking.  Membership in the Democratic Party is not a requirement, and many attendees do not describe themselves as Democrats. There is no ideological requirement for attendance; however, in keeping with the group's name, nearly all who do attend identify with the "liberal".
